Lucy's Out of Surgery...

Dr. Mary just called to let me know my little Lucy is out of surgery and doing well although she's still seeing "pink elephants". She'll be sleeping off the anesthesia till I pick her up at 6:00!

She's got some kind of skin infection on her belly, that I thought was just a heat rash kinda thing, so she'll be coming home with antibiotics! Poor Lucy!

I'm sure she'll be back to chewing on a big ole meat bone in no time at all! Boy do I miss her, this place isn't the same today without my little boxer here!

  9. New here from WW! What a cutie Lucy is!!

Having just read the last two entries, I have to point this out - cedar is a REALLY common cause of allergic reactions in dogs, especially those breeds with more sensitive skin (like boxers) Is it possible her new Costco bed is causing the belly rash? Definitely something to look into!

    Have a wonderful day!

  11. Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog. Happy 1/2 Birthday to Lucy!! Poor baby, I hope she is back to normal real soon. She is a BEAUTIFUL Boxer!! I was raised my whole life with Boxers, my favorite dog in the world. My last Boxer, Baily, got cancer and left us when she was almost 8 years old. She was the best dog we ever had, and so good with children too! Unfortunately, my daughter is allergic to dogs. My husband brought home a mini-poodle. It took me awhile to warm up to her, but now I am infatuated with her. She is a great dog too! Love your blog and Lucy too!! (She looks just like my Baily)!

  12. Aww Lucy! I remember when I got that surgery myself...Mommy had the whole house ready for me to relax in with her. Luckily it was Mommy's week off and she made sure just to lounge around with me so I wouldn't feel like I was missing out on something! It was a great week of cuddling and relaxing :) I hope that you feel better real soon!
    Kisses,
    Maddy
