It's A Joyful Sunday!

I love Sunday mornings! The store doesn't open till 12 on Sundays, so I find myself less rushed than I am most mornings, and it's the one morning a week where I feel like I actually have time to enjoy the morning without getting up at 5 A.M. to do so.

I sat on the deck this morning, coffee in hand and a darling boxer baby sound asleep at my feet enjoying the sunshine wondering to myself "What should I blog about today?" when I realized that I've never done a post about the things in my life that make me smile; the things that make me grateful to be alive! And then I had it... "I'm going to blog about a few of my 'joyful' things!" I can't do them all in one post, it would be way too long... There's so many little things in my life that I just adore!

"Marianne's Joyful List"
(In no particular order...just as they come to mind!)

When I was a small child, I would spend afternoons on occasion with my Great-Grandmother. One of her favorite things that she shared with me was root beer floats! On hot summer days, we would walk to the store, buy ice-cream and A&W Root Beer and head back to her apartment to make tall root beer floats. Now, on a hot summer day, there is nothing better than an ice cold root beer float and the memories of my sweet Great-Grandmother.
One of Rob's favorite and sweetest nicknames for me is "Sweetie Pie"! There is nothing I love more than the sound of his voice calling me "Sweetie Pie"- especially when I'm having a hard day!

The only thing that makes me happier than seeing a "Sweet Pea" is the the sweet aroma of this beautiful little flower. All spring long, Lucy and I were delighted on a daily basis by the scattering of these beauties behind the store. For days, I picked bunches of these happy little flowers and set them on my desk to brighten up my office!

I don't know what it is about Rob in a Cowboy hat- maybe it's that he loves them so much, but I every time I see him in a cowboy hat, I have to smile! I love it when he perches one of his treasured cowboy hats on that sweet little head of his! He always seems to smile more when he's wearing a cowboy hat, maybe it's a good thing we're moving to Houston! "I love you, Robbie!"

My little boxer baby makes me smile at least 100 times a day! I just adore her, in case you hadn't already figured that one out! From that precious little face, to the soft little head against my cheek when we fall asleep at night, to the way her whole body wiggles when she hasn't seen me for at least 10 minutes. "I love you, Lucy!"

Excellent post! I do one every Friday about what made me happy that week. I'm a very negative person by nature so it's a good reminder that there are a lot of good things in my life too.
