The Best Sleeping Spot In The Whole Darn House!

Last night, Lucy was in bed with us chewing on one of the meat bones I gave her yesterday, when she got thirsty and decided to jaunt into the bathroom and have an ice cold drink from the toilet! When she returned, she laid down by the side of the bed and fell asleep. She still can't jump up into our bed on her own. About an hour later, I woke up realizing that she wasn't in bed with us, and looked down to the floor- NO LUCY! I turned on the light and got out of bed and when I looked over, Lucy was sound asleep in the bottom of our closet! Of course, the flash from the camera woke the poor girl up! She looked so darn cute in there! I picked her up and put her back in bed with us, and she slept most of the night with her head curled up next to mine! "Good, Lucy!"

  2. You must have a VERY big bed, to start that habit! Jill prefers to sleep on the bed, but since she is a bed hog, she sleeps on a big floor pillow beside me - on the floor. Jack prefers his own room (the laundry room) and his own pillow in there. Sometimes he sleeps in our closet too.

  3. Yeps! I sleeps with da hoomans. Actually, dey put me in da bed with dem da first night I spent here. And I fells right to sleeps, and dats where I've slept ever since. I like to sleeps right in da middle, Mommy on one side, Daddy on da other. (But I typically snuggle closer to Mommy cause Daddy isn't as fond of my kisses n snores as Mommy!)

  4. We have a queen sized bed and two Boxers. One is 90 pounds (Monk) and the other is 60 (Piper). And they sleep in the bed. It gets pretty rough, some nights. We found a huge ottoman that is nearly as tall as the bed and it is where they go when they get hot. Or when we toss and turn and disturb them too much.

Lucy is such a cutie! Great photo!

  5. Looks like you found a nice spot to sleep on!
I sleep with my mom since the first day too!
And sometimes she complains because I like to change places from time to time during the night!

  6. What an awesome picture. She's got to be one of the best looking Boxers I have ever seen. Out of six, 2 dogs get the bed, if they get up there. They like to cuddle more in the winter than summer.

  7. Thanks so much for stopping by our blog and saying hello! Lucy is so beautiful!
Luckily for my husband the newfs don't like to sleep in our bed, they prefer the cold floor, but if they ever changed their minds he would have to sleep on the couch:)

  8. Looks pretty cozy! We would sleep with humans but the yellow dog and the beagle dog take up all the room!

  10. She is so darn cute! :0)

We have two furbabies, Sadee, a 4 1/2 year old Black Lab mix, and Casper, a 1 year old black Pomeranian. They are a mess together, but we love them! We got Casper as a tiny puppy last year after we lost our 11 y/o Pom, Keanu, that we'd had 9 years. We kind of 'rescued' him from a family friend whose kids were quite abusive to him. It took a little while, but he eventually became a sweet and gentle dog who was great with our kids. Losing him was very hard.

If you want, you can read about how we lost Keanu and the day we got Casper. There are also a lot of other pictures of them scattered here and there on my blog.

I {{heart}} your story and the commandments you have in your sidebars. It is all very sweet.

    Thanks for sharing!

  11. I'm not sure if it's showing up for you, but I did a hyper-link for 'how we lost Keanu' and 'the day we got Casper'. If you click on those words, it should take you to those stories on my blog.
