But, I've been feeding Lucy & Duke Taste of the Wild, the salmon blend. The other morning, as I was gagging over the fish smell, I started having doubts about giving my already way too intelligent boxers more brain food (and it wasn't just the smell!). I keep hearing on tv about the benefits of fish in relation to brain power... And I have to admit, that there are several times that it has crossed my mind, that my darling little boxers already might be just a tad too smart for their own good.
Yesterday, I posted about Duke being Mama's boy. When I got home last night, Lucy was extremely attentive (way more than usual), adoring (way more than usual) and kissy (again, way more than usual!). She even slept on top of me last night, stayed in bed with me this morning after Duke and her Daddy were up, and wouldn't stop snuggling with me this morning before I left for work. So, what I'm now trying to figure out is, did someone read Lucy my post from yesterday (I'm wondering if her boxer buddy Maggie Mae might have called her in my absence!), or did she just suspect that quite possibly Duke was sliding into her spot?
They are brilliant creatures, aren't they? :)

The only other possibility is that Duke's been rubbing in how he has you under his paw. ;)

Obviously Lucy has figured out the password on your computer. Pretty soon Lucy and Duke will be running your household. Oh...wait....they already are, aren't they! Lord knows Fred and Gloria run ours. LOL!

Hey! I eat that food too, and I am WAY smart! But in all fairness, dogs are smarter than most humans realize anyway. woo woo woo!
ReplyDeleteSoxy loves Taste of the Wild...any flavor. Her favorite is the fish one also. I already know as a Border Collie/Lab mix she is smarter than Don and I put together, but she's so cute it's OK! Try out Barking at the Moon also...it's another fish-based food that Soxy adores (but it doesn't do wonders for her breath).
