"Hey ma, whatcha got there? Is dats a new toy? I don't remember seeings him around here before. I wants to play with him. Looks how pretty I's is sitting. Does dat mean I can have him?"
Lucy's patience for being a "proper and polite" puppy only lasts so long.
"I wants dat toy, ma! Gives it up...."
"Comes on, Ma! I wanna chase my toy up and down the stairs! Where's you at? Speeds it up!"
"How longs do I haves to wait? Hurry its up!... I'ms waiten!"
"Mmmm.... Stuffed play-e-pus! Good stuff, but I sure hope dis isn't dinner...."
I love your play-e-pus... I think you should name him Perry!!!!! Perry the play-e-pus!!!!! It's from a kids show on the Disney channel... Clearly I don't get out much anymore =)
ReplyDeleteWe love playing. Our mom is sloww too
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
We recognised that platypus straight off! AND we think Lucy is just playing YOUR game. She's probably pretending she thinks they're new toys.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, kendra & Bella
Cute! We tried the same thing, but ran out of storage space. Now we just try not to trip!
ReplyDeleteSam
That same platypus is Bella's current favorite too! :)
ReplyDeletelucy is one lucky girl... I love those pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love your Platypus, Lucy!
ReplyDeleteI always try to get mom to play chase and keep away, but she is really slow and loses interest quickly. Love the platypus!
ReplyDeleteWags N Kisses,
Wrigley
LOL - too cute!
ReplyDeleteOur Mama keeps meaning to try the same thing. The only trouble is, Lily tends to destroy our toys within a few days of getting them... so them Mama thinks we won't be interested if she gives us a ripped up stuffie and tries to tell us its new! ;)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Today is the last day to enter and pick your prizes for our raffle to raise money for Apollo!
Play-e-puss looks like it playing the ol' dead scenario...poor baby!
ReplyDeleteAre you training Lily to be a hunter? Perhaps one day she'll bring home a bird or duck.
ReplyDeleteWe came over from Opie's Mom's Blog to say "hi". That platypus stuffie looks fun and that beak may be a good chew!
ReplyDeleteHow long does Lucy maintain interest in one toy? Kelly loves most of them for a while but then she isn't as interested. A few really good ones she'll keep coming back to.
ReplyDeleteHi Marianne.. what a wonderful addition to you family. Too cute. Hey I tried to leave a comment in on the most recent post entry, but it wouldn't let me for some reason.
ReplyDeleteLooks like alls well with you Great photos, lots of fun every time I come here. Take care, Keri
